Find Your Light Camp for Black Cis and Trans Womyn April 9th,10th and 11th, 2026 (the 11th will be an artists showcase) Find Your Light is a three-day creative wellness experience led by vocalist/composer and cultural organizer Valerie Troutt. The project brings together an intergenerational circle of Black women artists — including Audacious, I Am (spoken word), Tammy L. Hall (piano), Ruth Price (drums), Rashida Chase (cultural strategy), Rev. Dr. Valerie Brown-Troutt (visual art/education), Sis Nau-T (martial arts & tai chi), Neverending Nina (vocals), and Samara Atkins (dance). Each day braids voice, rhythm, movement, visual practice, and somatic care, treating music as both mirror and medicine. Participants move from breathwork and body practices into improvisation, composition, and ensemble creation, culminating in a public sharing that reflects joy, rigor, and collective authorship. with guest feature Jazz vocal icon Nnenna Feelon

Join vocalist "Valerie Troutt" for a three-day vocal workshop series focused on vocal technique, improvisation, solo and ensemble singing, and foundational musicianship. This offering welcomes singers of all levels and musical styles. Participants are encouraged to arrive with an open mind, a willingness to participate, and respect for the collaborative learning environment.
Pricing and Registration: This series is offered as a "BOGO (Buy One, Get One Free)" registration, meaning the purchase of one ticket admits two participants. Individual single-day attendance is available for $65 per workshop. All payments must be submitted by March 26th, 2026.
Minimum Enrollment Requirement: A minimum of six (6) registered participants. is required for the workshop series to take place. If the minimum enrollment is not met, the series will be canceled and 100% of payments will be refunded to the original purchaser.
Refund and Attendance Policy: Refunds are not issued due to non-attendance. If a registered participant is unable to attend after purchase, 50% of the registration fee will be returned, or the participant may elect to leave the full amount as a donation to support the program.
Participant Agreement: By registering for this series, participants acknowledge and agree to submit payment on time and take responsibility for their own scheduling and attendance. Valerie Troutt is not responsible for participant scheduling conflicts or missed sessions.
Community Support: Proceeds from this workshop series directly support Find Your Light Community, an initiative centering and uplifting Black cisgender and transgender womyn artists. Your participation contributes to sustaining creative opportunities and community programming. ✨🎶

Experience bassist and composer Noah Garabedian as he steps into the spotlight for the first time as a lyricist, bringing his own band and compositions to life. Blending heartfelt songwriting with Americana folk influences, Garabedian leads an electrifying ensemble through a dynamic fusion of storytelling and improvisation. Joining Garabedian for this electrifying evening is celebrated Bay Area vocalist, Valerie Troutt.
As a bandleader and composer, he has released two albums under his own name, as well as a collaborative album with the trio Ember. His latest quartet album, Consider The Stars Beneath Us (Outside In Music, 2022), showcases his deeply expressive and forward-thinking approach. In addition to his jazz projects, he serves as musical director for “Rhythm Is Life,” a dance production featuring acclaimed tap dancer Dormeshia.
A sought-after sideman, Garabedian has toured and recorded with Ravi Coltrane, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Kris Davis, and Ralph Alessi, and has twice represented the U.S. State Department as a musical ambassador.
