Valerie Troutt Projects (VTP) Presents “Ancestors Day” The celebration & honoring of our loved ones who have gone on before us. This space will uplift and display the beloved members of the Black family and community that have died, and gone on to become Ancestors.
The vision: is to gather, share stories and uplift our beloved by displaying images that tell their stories. There will be live music from Valerie Troutt and friends, offerings from poet Joyce Lee, DJ Nina Sol, visual artist Valerie Brown-Troutt and more… an alter of Ancestor candles made by VTP and or by anyone who wants to create one will be showcased during the course of the event.
Community is invited to make an Ancestors Candle the day of, all materials will be supplied for $25, special orders are $30 prepared by VTP, General admission is $15.
